Coffee Talk & Blogging Goals

8th January 2017

If we were having coffee, you couldn’t help but notice that we’ve blown all the fuses.  Isla is running around going, ‘My house is dark.  It ran out of batteries!’ Five minutes ago, we were watching Alice in Wonderland.  Now, Isla’s face is lit by my phone screen.  No, I can’t buy you that Lego set.  And please don’t post that egg video on Facebook. In other news, what music do you listen to while taking down the Christmas tree?…

My Book List for #LitsyAtoZ

4th January 2017

I think I’ve rambled about Litsy once or twice.  Some groovy people over there are doing the #LitsyAtoZ challenge. The last time I tried something like this, I got stuck on E. In  a few years,…

29th March 2016

I’m quite generous with my 4-star ratings, but 5-stars is harder for me. I have a shelf on goodreads labeled ‘ten stars’ and another one called ‘there were tears’ and those ones are the ones that I’ll throw at people, so we can talk about it. ‘There will be a test,’ I tell them. Recent 10-stars have been: Dept. of Speculation – Heard a bunch about this, and bought it while in NY.  Maybe that’s why it’s a tenner.  But really,…

Goals For 2016

5th January 2016

Part of the re-vamp of this blog will be me participating more regularly in memes, blog-hops and other social blogging projects that I like/make sense to me/want to share with others. One of those such things is Top Ten Tuesday from The Broke and The Bookish. Today’s list is Resolutions for 2016. I prefer the term goals. Let’s call them goals. See, they’re trees, um, goals. And here they are with nifty categories. Writing Start/continue the journal/letters to Isla and…
