Thank You Again. Again.

21st September 2011

On Friday, I posted my post and went to the pub.  I left my phone safely at home, and instead concerned myself with this delicious beer. After a few, we came home and I decided to check my email while Sarge brushed his teeth.  There were lots of little yellow flags in my gmail inbox, and I discovered I’d been Freshly Pressed.  It was the third time I’ve seen my little blog up there.  Exciting, as ever. I’d like to…

Gin & Lemonade: One Year On

10th August 2011

I started this blog on August 10th 2010, in my living room.  I’ve taken it to ‘the office’ (or, The Spare Room) and some coffee shops.  105 posts later, the computer that I type my posts on is back in the living room.  In a year, I have filled two notebooks with post notes and drafts.  These are then typed or spoken onto the screen by me or Sarge in exchange for the promise that I turn my computer off…

Or a mixture of all three.  Yes, I know 30 is not old.  I like being 30, it suits me.  Although, I did recently have to write ‘I’m 30’ for the first time.  I’d never seen it before.  I wrote it, and I said: ‘Holy shit,…

100 Books Or Bust

Shopping On My Shelves

1st March 2011

Last April, I condensed my list of Things To Do Before I’m 30 into 29 Resulotions. Number 10a and 10b on that 16 item list goes something like this: Read all the books I’ve left unread/people have thrown at me. Not buy another book for myself until the above item is checked off. (Except The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest.) Well.  I failed.  Not by much, because I had this in mind and not  a lot of money in…
