I eat books.  I am actually addicted to books, and reading them.  My two giant bookcases are three rows deep.  There is a stack by my bed, and in the office.  And at least four books on any other free surface in the house.  I put them there, anywhere, when deciding ‘what to read next’, and I don’t put them back, leading to quite random clusters throughout the house.  Sarge calls me the book-dropper, he can find me anywhere by…

The Chair

And so, I switch off the computer and my eyes fall on my favourite chair.  Currently piled with duvets and a guitar, it is wedged between a loveseat and a laundry rack.  A penguin is perched on the loveseat, propped up by pillows and the last publically visible box in the house.  This is half of the office.  The half I can conveniently turn my back on while typing. Life Imitates Art

Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy has made me change the habit of a lifetime.  I love the books and the films (so far).  I love them equally.  This has never happened before.  Ever.  I am always disappointed with film versions.  Or I think that the films are better than the books they started from.  (Frida, for example.  Moving on.)
