This arrived today! Perhaps because the story behind it was Freshly Pressed! Thank you, WordPress and everyone who wished my passport safe travels!
And the photo looks less like Marlon Brando than originally thought.

I took my passport photo in the middle of the flu and a bout with kidney stones. I hadn’t eaten, shaved, or slept well in a week. It hurt to hold my hand over my head, so my hair isn’t combed either. Still, I managed to eke out maybe the eeriest smile I’ve ever smiled.
It’s the best picture I’ve ever posed for. So I always assume that passport pictures are something special. Congrats!
I didn’t smile, I was in take-the-damn-photo mode. Didn’t even know you were allowed to smile in them these days!
Yay! Maybe this means we’ll see each other in NYC this summer!
