And so, I’ve said before that book-mail is the best kind of mail. But yesterday I GOT THE BEST BOOK-MAIL.
I was a big mope until My Chronicle Book Box arrived, and with it came the sun.
Honestly, look at the bookish grooviness:
And feast your eyes, fellow book geeks. 3 books I DON’T ALREADY HAVE…
The books:
Murder At The Mill, M.B. Shaw
The Devil’s Claw, Lara Dearman
The Confession, Jo Spain
I got the Crime & Mystery box for free in exchange for my honest opinion. (See my work with me page.)
My honest opinion:
I LOVE this thing. From the Hermione Granger quote print and the author interviews to the packets of chai and the rose and lemon lip balm. (Yes, the most ungirly girl on the planet likes the lip balm.)
Each box comes with 3 books (Crime & Mystery or Science Fiction & Fantasy) and other bookish goodies and ideas on what to read next.
I’ve had other book subscription boxes before, but this one just seems that bit more special and personalised. Like they’re trying to give you a reader experience instead of just offload old books.
They are a UK-based luxury (and I think it shows) book subscription box service that ships internationally. Extra cool points.
I know what I’m getting for Valentine’s Day!
And as a reader bonus for you, get 10% off your first box by using the code LEMONADE10.
Thank you to Louise and the team!

What a lovely box of goodies 🙂
I was super-impressed, Sam! <3
I am also waiting on book mail. Why does it seen to take forever? This is my first foray into book boxes so I’m very excited. Unfortunately this particular service doesn’t offer international shipping which is the only glaring downside so far, I deliberately checked where they shipped becausrv of you.
Is it Book of the Month? I’ve written to them asking when they’re going to start international shipping, ha! Thank you for thinking of me!
It’s called Just The Right Book. The people behind it have an independent bookstore in Connecticut called RJ Julias and there is also a Just the Right Book podcast they produce.
Ooh this looks interesting! I will check it out, thanks for the review.
I’m still torn on subscription boxes. On one hand? I would love to receive mail/products in areas I love, but on the other hand goes against my attempts to buy less and be aware of the amount of space I have. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to do a book box because once I start, I won’t be able to stop, and I’ve already got 6 hip-high Rubbermaid bins full of books to donate. First world problems, I know!!
You can literally never have too many books!
I’m intrigued by this whole book box subscription so am off to investigate. I worry that I’d be stuck with books I’ll never read!
Thanks for linking with #TalkoftheTown
That looks like a lovely treat to me, books and goodies all delivered to your door.

My blogging buddy brought me a Bookfulness box for Christmas. LOVED it. Not sure if I would subscribe to one myself but love the thought of one-offs so you can dip in or give as a gift.
Looks like the Chronicle book box has some fab goodies packed in there 🙂
Thanks for linking #TalkoftheTown Lorna.
Oh I love the sound of this box. I haven’t heard of it before. I love my bookish subscription box, but this is another one I would definitely try out!
Looks fabulous – what a treat!
Lovely, lovely books everywhere today. I love it ?
In this house every day is World Book Day!
What a wonderful life we lead?
